Many of our clients love adding on cupping to their massage session. Cupping helps to alleviate muscle tightness, reduce inflammation and boost the immune system.
We have heard from several clients that they would love to have a set of cups at home to help to relieve pain in between massage sessions. We would love to teach you how to effectively and safely use cups at home.
During your virtual cupping session, one of our Licensed Massage Therapists will assess any areas of pain via zoom video conference. After figuring out which key points need to be addressed to relieve your pain we will guide you through a self cupping session. Please, purchase a cupping set here prior to this service.
- Cups should not be left on any area for more than 10 minutes, no matter how great they feel.
- Cups should not hurt.
- You can apply a little bit of coconut oil prior to placing the cups on your skin to ease the “pinch” that is sometimes initially felt when cups are applied.
- Make sure to properly wash and disinfect cups after every use.
- After applying cups we recommend applying PO SUM ON – Medicated Oil to soothe any muscle aches. Simply apply the oil to a cotton ball and lightly massage into sore areas.
