Love note from your wellness provider

My life’s purpose is to make a difference. I want people to know of the limitless healing benefits that treatments based in a holistic approach, such as acupuncture and herbal medicine, have to offer.

The year I turned 20 I was diagnosed with Mesial Temporal Sclerosis with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. In plain English this means I was suffering from a rare kind of epilepsy and it was causing irreversible scarring on my brain. After many doctor’s visits, countless tests and failed treatment plans with lots of medication that didn’t work, my neurologist sat me down and told me I would “never beat this illness” and that eventually my seizures would cause “irreversible brain damage.” I dealt with this condition for three years without hope, but I couldn’t help but wonder if something else was possible.

My first act of courage was the day I chose to open up and share with everyone I knew about my condition and I asked for help. Many ideas were offered, and in fact, what I discovered was people wanted to contribute to me. Immediately, I made a list of all 87 suggestions my friends and family offered me and #7 on that list was acupuncture. After over a decade of consistent treatments, unwavering determination and many disciplined lifestyle adjustments, I cay say, thankfully, that I am on my way to a seizure-free life!

During my healing process I have fallen in love with this medicine. The ability to empower our bodies to heal themselves of anything is truly inspiring and I have given my life to serve by creating the environment for healing within each person I treat. I consider it a real privilege that I have been invited to join you on your journey to achieving the best health possible and I can’t wait to take care of you.
