As an acupuncture physician with an educational background in East Asian medicine, Dr. Covyn Montemayor utilizes a variety of therapies including: cupping therapy, herbal medicine, moxibustion (infra-red thermal therapy), nutritional counseling, and lifestyle/habit coaching to help restore ease and function to the mind and body.
A driving factor to inspiring her to study acupuncture and herbal medicine was a focus on integrating the body, mind and spirit into a more holistic understanding of health that treats the whole person.
Her studies at Florida College of Integrative Medicine acted as a catalyst to practice evidence-based, integrative medicine. Her care for the individuals she works with propels her to continue learning evidence-based acupuncture and herbal medicine. As a student she began learning a unique diagnostic style called Hara diagnosis and immediately fell in love. She uses this Hara diagnosis with almost everyone she works with. This is a palpation-based style and gives guidance for the practitioner as well as the patient. Her specialties are with scar treatments, women’s health, fertility & Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) support and mental/emotional health.

Love note from your wellness provider
I am passionate about bringing a well-rounded perspective of health to the people I work with. My practice is focused on helping people pursue their own health and wellness in the least invasive, most functional ways that they can. I believe we all have unique bodies and life experiences, therefore we need unique methods of healthcare, and I believe in a less is more style of practice in every way.
My lifestyle counseling and nutritional counseling is founded in a mentality that the best approach for you is the one that you will actually do! To that end, I work with people at their own pace. My passion is to bring integrative medical practices into the daily lives of every person I work with. Determining the best route for your healthcare can be confusing and discouraging when presented with so many options. My goal is to bring clarity and direction to the people I care for.
